nickbee 1
It's just occurred to me that this might get in the way of my lightning gearchanges, so my money might be better spent elsewhere. Like on cakes or something.
binliner 0
mmmm cakes
binliner 0
although eating cakes while driving will also get in the way of those lightning gear changes!

vr6 0
why are you not keen on them binliner do you not like the look or do they just get in the way?
VR6Pete 1,455
All I want for the VR6 is a flat surface to put my cups or at least a cup holder!
VR6Steve 0
Yeah Pete, I think you hit the nail on the head there. That is the most frustrating thing about the Mk3 interior, no where to put a damn cup or can! How the hell are you expected to drink and drive! LOL!
Glyn Mk3 0
I've found you can safely place a McDonalds 'large' drink in the front section of the door pocket. But you may wish to drink it about an inch or so down before setting off When I say safely, I use that term quite loosely! But a proper cup holder would be useful, in fact I noticed on many US versions of the Mk3 Golf, they have a rubber mould that sits in the centre console cubby hole with cut outs for two cups!!! Genius. I wonder if we can get hold of the part number? - anyone...?!
binliner 0
why are you not keen on them binliner do you not like the look or do they just get in the way?both really they all look a bit out of place and look like they'll get in the way but thats just my opinion... now a cupholder like the mk4 one that pops out would be handy
nickbee 1
Cup holders, hmm, handy. How about this:...or not.
binliner 0
classy!do they make a skeleton hand to put your cake on as well?!
jonvr6highline 0
I find that if you stand a regular sized can in the centre console under the ashtray, that the can stays in place. You have to drink some of it first, as the can stands at an angle, but if the can is half full, it seems not to spill. Shame that the section is not slightly taller to fit beer cans in!
