Guest panzercommander Posted August 14, 2006 Report Share Posted August 14, 2006 hi guys and girls i am new to the site, so go gentle!!!!!!!i have just given my mate a lift home, as its alittle cold tonight a put the heater on, and oh my god there looked what like smoke coming from the vents, i pulled over and noticed a pool of coolant in the drivers door well, i turned the heater off and every thing is fine.do i take it that the coolant pipes that come in from the bulk head to the heater matrix are broke or could it be something for worse?any advise and help would be great.only had the car two weeks and the last owner has not this problem before or so he saidthanks againcraig Link to post Share on other sites

VR6Pete 1,455 Posted August 14, 2006 Report Share Posted August 14, 2006 To replace the matrix, you will have to remove the dash, I know a few people who have done the matrix, it's more of a ball ache than anything else!You can probs pick up the bits you need quite cheap from your local vw breakers/specialists.Thanks.Pete Link to post Share on other sites
