6potmkII 0 Posted August 27, 2006 Report Share Posted August 27, 2006 awaiting my charger, and it has a 8psi pully with it, was thinking to start with 6 and standard brown tops, but as im getting it mapped, might aswell leave the 8 on and get bigger injectors....whats the next size up, 305cc red tops?wheres the best place to get them?cheers Link to post Share on other sites

FishWick 21 Posted August 29, 2006 Report Share Posted August 29, 2006 I'm on the standard head gasket with 12psi! Holding up nicely.Red tops are 303cc, 32ish lb, 16 ohm, Bosch 150 series. Have a look on US ebay as they come up very often and you can bag a set for under £100 usually. They're about £45ish each over here, new.Don't use the brown tops, they run at 100% duty on 6 psi. No where near enough for 8psi.[/quote']yeh id even change the injectors if i was staying with 6psi tbh, peice of mind..also kev, what milage is you vr on now with that setup and oe headgasket? has the gasket been done already..... FishWick 21 Posted August 30, 2006 Report Share Posted August 30, 2006 138K it's on now. Head and chains were done at 93K and just a normal OE Victor Reinz Head gasket used. Charger went on at around 110K, so it's been reliable....touch wood. Tough old engines the VR! Link to post Share on other sites
