CanadianVR6 0
Hey! not long after i bought my 98 vr6 my ABS light has come on and stays on. In order to have a diagnostics check on my car, do I have to go to a main VW garage to find out what is causing it, or will some privatly owned shops have the equipment to do it? purple highline monster 0
some people have their own diagnostic leads, but vw shouldnt charge too much for a quick check anyway, it only throws out the codes for the fault, its probably just a faulty wheel sensor, i just had one of my rear ones done, it only cost about £50 to get fixed
vr6madmike 0
cost me £10 to get mine done, mate has vag com and the cable was £10 from euro car parts fitted it myself its quite easy!
dellert 0
Where are you from? I think VR6Pete is trying to organise a kind of diagnostic network around the country, with members from this forum.

stuey 0
The fronts are about £30-35 and the rears £50-60, when i did my rear one last year. The rears can be a bit of a sod to get out 8o|
dellert 0
They are easy enough to do, but they often get corroded in, which makes a five min job into an hour! Nothing a drop of WD, wont sort though!Defo need to get the fault read though, I had a Laguna where it chucked up an ABS fault everytime it rained, never did find that fault! good job i sold it in the summer!!
