Guest couzens
Hey everyone,Check out the current Golf + magazine in newsagents; its got a technical article towards the back on how to blow up the VR6 engine = sorry how to tune the VR6 engine! :@ Says the Schrink manifold is the holy grail of tuning the VR6 engine, but you must sit down when being told the price! What's all that about then???Also in first few pages has an article on the new MK5 GTI = 200 bhp FSI Turbo, ummm might be selling the VR soon
acf8181 0
well, its true that the shrik manifold is probably the best performance upgrade for the vr6....but at a cost of about £1500.peronally i think a shrik, a decent suspension kit, a set of arb's, and a rebuilt gearbox with altered ratios and a quife atb (torque biasing diff)...is the recipe for vrheaven.i don't feel theres any need to get any more bhp out of it.[ Edited Sat Jun 12 2004, 10:30PM ][ Edited Sat Jun 12 2004, 10:30PM ]

acf8181 0
I'm with you on this one acf - never felt the need for more power just better driveability.don't get my worng...i like masses of bhp. but i'd much rather buy a car with loads more bhp as standard' date=' and also that drives different wheels (be it 4wd or rwd), i just don't think they vr6 would be able to handle that much bhp.[/color']
Eat this 2
i thought that but mina seems chuffed with his a heavy front end undoubtably helps but yeah i do agree if a car is fast standerd its designed to take the power from the start i nearly bought a nissan 200sx i do like em (rwd 200bhp turbo) but im glad i bought the vr

Guest couzens
Cool Claire will look out. And how cool's this - in Southsea today and see a Corrado go past that I saw in last month's PVW. Its owned by a girl who sent in pictures of them sorting it out; recognised it a mile off by the big yellow CORRADO sticker top of the windscreen. Sounded sweet as well.
