Earwig 89 Posted September 3, 2006 Report Share Posted September 3, 2006 First time for me at E38 :-)Started out camping on the friday night with Paul, Jason, Jim, Nigel, Donna......Got ourselves a goof fire going and the BBQ was sparked up !9.30PM-Jakes car is still in bits. No brakes/wheels etc......10.30PM- After a test drive all appears to be well and Jake starts his journey closely followed by very patient Graham who was witing at Jakes house for many, many, many, many, many (get the idea? ) Hours. :-)12.30AM- Jake and Graham arrive :-)All tents up we sat around the fire drinking and chatting with a crystal clear sky over us.Wake up saturday morning, all cars on the stand........Wind starts up and the rain hammers down :-(At least it saved the polishing and waxing ! Saturday remained a wash-out but was still fairly enjoyable.Sunday morning started bright and remaind a really nice day. Still windy which made the strength of the sun deceptive. A few got burnt !It was a great turn out for us once again. Each show that passes we seem to get more and more people joining in the fun. Always nice to put faces to a few more names.Another great show at E38, from what I hear it keeps getting better and better ! J5KE F 0 Posted September 3, 2006 Report Share Posted September 3, 2006 Come on people, I believe they call it fasionably late..?!!I have to say that there was one hell of a turnout this year, superb array of vr's with all sorts of mods and personal touches!Thanks to all who turned up to make this such a succesfull event and its a shame i didnt get a chance to meet you all..The show on the whole was great with plenty of new ideas and cars on the scene. shame about the weather on sat tho! still thanks to pubs with carverys... Also just to thank Paul for sortin out the camping area for us, to Mark & Donna for the camp fire, supplies and photography, and graham for his unbelievable patience in waiting for me n my car (nearly 5 hrs sat outside my house!!) and for his help with the finishing touches!Keep your eyes open for SantaPod on the 14 & 15th Sept for a sat night race meet and run what u brung on the sunday.. Met some quality people all weekend and some of them even helped sort out my shoddy cleaning abilities ;-)The VR6OC stand was looking good with some lovely cars, also had Jake and Graham giving out technical demonstrations! lol Only thing i thought was a bit crap was the club display set up as it was more like a car park.... Was gud to meet sum new faces (sorry if I was horrendously drunk!) Will be posting my pics for y'all tmora. Shame I cudnt get lil red riding hood on stand on Sat but had other plans.
