Corr28VR6 0
Alright folks,A mate of mine sent me this link today http://www.electricsupercharger.com/ - the clue is in the title. Anyway, I was wondering if you guys had heard of this - personally I'm not convinced but thought I'd see what you guys thought.
Guest Olly_K
not sure to be honest. i thought electric superchargers were another name for hairdryers ?
antera309 3
An interesting concept, but wouldn't the fan blades form an obstruction in the intake when the motor was switched off?Available charge in the battery would limit the duration of the boost anyway. Sure, this is not a problem for the dragstrip, but a Nitrous kit wouldn't work out much more expensive, and these can produce short bursts of +50 to +100bhp to the Electric Supercharger's +15bhp.Given the potential output of a NOS'd VR6 (especially if already running a Schrick manifold & cams), I'm surprised more people haven't done it.[ Edited Tue Jun 15 2004, 02:58PM ]

six appeal 53
Yeh I remember reading that write up too on the cab, not sure if that was the same company though?
FishWick 21
That looks like a PC cooling fan! Can't beat mechanical forced induction - until Renault perfect their pulley-less, Camshaft-less, 24V engine technology that is. They've currently got some seriously hi-tech kit under development at the moment..... watch this space.
