wallis 0
hello peeps, im more of a browser than a poster on here normally. my fingers hurt from too many forums :-p thought id make a wee post with some pics of my trusty steed for you all. well it started back in april time when i brought a standard highline FVWSH, 78k, very very straight example after a bit of a hunt about for a nice one. it sat on the drive for 4 months due to me being only 20 and insurance was an issue being a poor apprentice . whilst there i picked up a set of 16"RS and set about refurbing them. got some custom adapters made up and did a few tweaks to the car and now it looks like this. had it on the road for a couple of months and love it, love the looks it gets for the noise. it'll be back in winter mode soon for a few more changes over the winter months. Mr_GTI 0
love the car mate, do you put the mirrors on for normal driving then put the blanks on for shows?? My old series 1 GTI only had a drivers mirror, I found I missed the passenger one quite a bit when I used the car.
wallis 0
cheers, i drive it without mirrors all the time, i dont find it too bad, just have to check over your shoulder and do more rear view mirror checks. if the weather starts to get bad(icy/snow) then i'll probly put the drivers one back on
