J5KE F 0
Yeah, no wurries fella, just take it easy and u'll be fine.. i done a 120 mile trip with both mine, and a run to the nurburg ring runnin off map. some may disagree.. steve???
antera309 3
I drove mine up to Stealth (approx 50 miles) with the charger fitted and no remap, but I left the stock injectors in. Putting the redtops in on a standard map would have overfuelled the engine, made it run like a pig and probably caused damage to the catalytic converter due to all the unburnt fuel in the exhaust. mk3anni 0
keep the stock injectors in, keep it 3k or under and you'll be fine.
6potmkII 0
i cant keep the stock injectors in as im changing them not stealth.... as for the cat, its a mk2 J reg '91 dont need a cat so will the injectors mess anything engine related up at all, if i keep it under say 2k with the red tops would that be ok, with the 3 bar fuel reg? i can change to 4 bar when i get there....cheers guys
mk3anni 0
it will run like shit, why dont you let stealth change them for you??
6potmkII 0
tbh there peice of piss to change, its just takes a lil while as the inlet manifolds gotta comes, an stealth want 2hrs labour to change them so thats like £120/130 odd.

antera309 3
Oh, forgot it was an OBD2 - yes, 3 bar fuel pressure regulators in those. OBD1 has 4 bar as standard. If you run it round the block a couple of times, you'll soon know whether it's driveable or not!!
Eat this 2
y did they drop to 3 bar on obd2?and is it worth gettin a 4bar and having it remapped with cams?
FishWick 21
If you pull the MAF, the ECU goes very lean, so balances out the red tops with standard chip. I drove 180 miles to stealth like that and it was fine.
