HiPurVR6 0
Hi,Just fitted a set of INXX bonnet lifters but they seem to throw the bonnet at the screen!!Almost as if only a spring and no gas to slow the things down! Any ideas? or do i need to buy a more expensive set!!
craggsy 91
Its the age old addage i'm afraid. Buy cheap, buy twice. Plus they will make your bonnet not sit right as well. Spend money on em if you want em, and get ones that pull the bonnet down when its nearly shut

deviousdavey 0
I've made a mistake and bought some INXX ones, they turned up in about 4 days, problem is that they supply 2 bolts with each strut (the ones with a ball at the end), one self tapper for the wing fixing and a fine pitch stud for the hinge end fixing. The problem I have is that the hinge end bolt ain't big enough, I've contacted the supplier and they tell me that they are the correct bolts (I think they have supplied M6 threads, where I think I need M8 or M10, can anybody clarify this with me, or are some VR6's different sizes to others.CheersDave
gav_113 0
they done this to me.. the bolts were to small!! and the struts were different sizes. I've just received the replacement ones after waiting for 6 weeks! they fit ok now, but one is stronger than the other?? i have totally had enough now!! i would advise people not to go for the INNX ones!! VR6Rich 3
I had INXX ones before but they rusted to pieces so I replaced them with a set of Bonrath's which were a lot better! Got them from Bonrath directly at GTI International but need to get a spare strut and managed to get some from Awesome GTI.
binliner 0
I had INXX ones on my highline without any problems at all, ... strangely enough the only ones Ive ever had trouble with were Bonrath ones which just stopped holding the bonnet up. I replaced them with some off ebay for £15 and they were fine
