crish72 0
Since replacing my old RS8's i have decided that i really liked them. They came on the car when i bought it and tbh they were in a shocking state - badly curbed, the laquer had peeled off and corrosion had got to them. They really let the look of the car down.So being a tight Northener and not wanting to spend much cash, i decided to go about refurbishing them myself.Got a pre-polishing kit from ebay (£17) as well as a final polishing kit (£20), along with some paint stripper to remove the old laquer. All i used was an Electric Drill combined with a bit of graft.Well heres the finished result prior to me laquering them Not a 'perfect' mirror finsih but not far off!Plus, saved myself probably £120 minimum if i had got them done professionaly....Shame i didnt take piccies of them before, but trust me, they were a mess!Chris

binliner 0
really? Thats a result... I always thought it did, maybe it happens over time... I always leave mine unlaquered anyway as it's easier to polish out any kerb marks or scuffs that inevitably happen

SHARKY 0
How long did it take per wheel??I'm gonna be having a go at some TT comps and was wondering how much time to put aside - there's just little kerbing no laquer lift or scratches...
