mk3anni 0
Rocker cover gasket or oil has been spilt when filling up.How would the ECU compensate for new plugs??? I dont understand what you'd expect it to do.
vr6newcomer 1
only 2 of the old plugs were if near perfect condition, it feels a bit better, i also put in a new coil pack, so if the spark is now better, will the car perform better straight away, as someone was telling me about 3 cold starts or something? is the rocker cover gasket difficult to replace? mk3anni 0
new coil pack ang plugs will improve things assuming the old parts are screwed......the ecu plays no part in this.

VR6Pete 1,455
I replaced the plugs and coilpack on my VR not long before it went in for the new engine built.Even though the plugs still looked quite good, replaced them anyway, for the sake of 40 quid, its worth it for peace of mind alone, I also replaced the coilpack, and the imporvments this made was unbelivable, the car was so much smoother to drive.VAG-COM is probably the way to go TBH, aside from replacing your HT leads also. Which plugs had oil around them matey?
