mk3anni 0
OK, so you've had it in the rollers.....what are the figures??????
ingham 5
OK' date=' so you've had it in the rollers.....what are the figures??????[/quote'] its not all about the figures its about the look of the graph as all figure can be played with due the settings on rollers (like ambent temp/air pressure)as well as the "power at engine" is all a guess due all cars have differing frictional losses .best way is to use power to wheels but still take with pinch of salt just look at graph for smoothness and fuel mixure...for ture figures you would need to remove engine and test it on test bench

DANVR 0
Sorry guys didn't mean to cause a heated discussion. My VR has Ram air kit, remus back box, coilovers, will have a decat next week but the engine has only just been rebuilt and will be going back in next week....So what do u guys think I should get as regards to a remap.D
Riggsvr6-again 0
Stealth fella : } I bought a Superchip and apparently gained 13bhp on the rollers, but tbh the fuel economy halved
matth76 1
Hi guys am new to the VR scene' date=' didn't know if you could advise me as to which remap to go for and where.CheersDan[/quote']Hi DanStealth are the best to go for for a remap. There are others out there that are also good but Stealth is one of the most experienced when it comes to mapping vr's. Their remap is £300 (which is very good in my opinion as its the same price as an off the shelf superchip but far far better as its a custom one to suit your car). Your car, being an OBD1 golf vr should definitely benefit from Stealths remap... I would estimate a 10-15bhp gain...more if you have an enlarged throttle body butterfly too. Stealth are based in the midlands just south of birmingham but well worth the trip - all done on a rolling road so will check your car over and give you your power readings at the same time.
