mk3anni 0
Might be better off getting yours re-built
dstyrrell 0
tsr performance do replacement engines on a exchange basis i think that it costs around 2500 for a vr6 fitted, they do have a web page but i can never get it to load up. I would personally just find a good company to rebuild yours, probably do it for half the cost.
andybg40 0
TSR have gone bust!!!You should seriously consider you dealer. I have heard of some crazy deals being done on new engines on an exchange basis. Also GSF use the same people as VAG for recon's, a company called VEGE Engines. If your looking for a stock replacement that might be the cheapest route. If you want a performance engienne thats a different story...

dstyrrell 0
Hey Pete, How much did it cost you? and what did you have done? and where did you have it done? just out of interest. It might be worth having a sticky thread with reference to engine rebuilds and a guide to how much it should roughly cost as the VR's are getting on a bit now and i think this would be useful.Cheers Dave

shail 0
Have you tried vege ltd? - do a google and youll find them. When I had engine woes they were recommended to me, althogh i cannot vouch for them as I ended up buying a second hand engine.
