bigleem 0 Posted December 5, 2006 Author Report Share Posted December 5, 2006 That deal for the front ends sounding good but throw in a turbo kit and it's yours Cheers mate thanks for the good feed back just got a brake upgrade for it :-p audi twin pot calipers with s/steel pistons brand new front 280mm zimmerman cross drilled disc, near new rear disc's, mintex 1144 fast road pad for front, and good pads for rear. plus the carriers have s/steel sliders in them.......not bad eh???????????????For £235 STEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've just bought the brakes and a few other things like audi 80 door handles. bigleem 0 Posted January 1, 2007 Author Report Share Posted January 1, 2007 Thought i'd have a bit of a mess about with the car this weekend,i bought an Audi S2 brake set up of ebay so i had a bit of time spare and started to swap the 256mm brakes for a twin pot 280mm set up[lightbox=../../e107_files/public/1167688839_4681_FT142478_dsc00037.jpg][/lightbox]This is the poor buggers i kept burning out bit of a sorry state [lightbox=../../e107_files/public/1167689024_4681_FT142478_dsc00041.jpg][/lightbox]I had some help from my little broTo get this far i had a bit of trouble with the carrier bolts one of them just would not come off the head twisted so i had to cut the head of with an hack saw then drill the bolt in the very centre heat it up with a blow lamp then the mole grips did the restBy this time it was really starting to p*ss me off :@ [lightbox=../../e107_files/public/1167689298_4681_FT142478_dsc00042.jpg][/lightbox]with a little help from my little bro [lightbox=../../e107_files/public/1167689392_4681_FT142478_dsc00040.jpg][/lightbox]and are other very helpful friend :-p [lightbox=../../e107_files/public/1167689582_4681_FT142478_dsc00039.jpg][/lightbox]he kept are sprit's up in the coldthought i check the size diff between them[lightbox=../../e107_files/public/1167689728_4681_FT142478_dsc00044.jpg][/lightbox]and the disks[lightbox=../../e107_files/public/1167689837_4681_FT142478_dsc00036.jpg][/lightbox]after a bit of messing about we had them fitted with new carrier bolts[lightbox=../../e107_files/public/1167690058_4681_FT142478_dsc00038.jpg][/lightbox]Well they are fitted with mintex 1144 fast road pads. The calipers have s/steel pistons in them and the carriers have s/steel sliders. I tested them on sunday they stop on a buttonjust need good weather now and some new tyres t1-r's on the way Link to post Share on other sites
