Jimbo 0
"who gives a shite about semantics its still a vr btw theyr actually slower than a 12v mk3"Are they though?? On paper, the MK4 4motion has 30bhp more (204bhp & 200lb/ft of torque) and its quoted 0-60 time is 6.9sec. Obviously the 4wd saps some of the power, but the fact its got 4wd means its going to get off the line quicker!! I had a little play with one and round the twisty bits it left me for dead!!! An exhaust/filter and remap will see 225bhp no problem. It depends on the driver I suppose!!
goonersteve 0
Yeah i've heard the mk3 VR is slightly quicker. Maybe the 4-motion would have the mk3 up to 60mph due to the 4wd, but from then on the eztra weight counts against it.

Jimbo 0
Thats all very well in a straight sprint, but most roads have corners!!! where the 4motion has the edge.
