samwilko 0 Posted November 14, 2006 Report Share Posted November 14, 2006 My car wont idle at all well, really lumpy and sometimes cuts out all together.It also starting popping loudly from the centre of the exhaust (thats where it sounds like its coming from anyway) when slowing down or changing gear. There is no problem with the exhaust blowing though. Its also developed a flat spot at 2500 rpm when cold.Any help much appreciated!!!its a '93 VR6. Link to post Share on other sites

shail 0 Posted November 16, 2006 Report Share Posted November 16, 2006 Check the wires to the MAF, mine were corroded at the base of the wires in to the plug, whihc caused stalling / poor running. Also had popping noises from the exhaust - mechanic said it was a missing blanking plate on one of the exhaust silencers. He welded the hole up for a fiver. Link to post Share on other sites
