purple highline monster 0
you can get a brand new G60 unit for £750 from Germany now, readilly available, even on standard 160 bhp is superb power in a mk1, and with those other mods mentioned it comes alive! the cam and chip & smaller charger pulley transforms the engine totaly, chargers are not as fragile as some make out, as long as the car has had regular quality oil and the oil feed pipe to the charger is operating properly! then they are good for at least 80k, to many horror stories put people off, mine had 85k when it was stage 4`d at Jabba and it was an original unit never been off a my 1 owner car! it was like new inside, even brian who took it apart commented how good it was with only very minor wear on the top end of the scroll case, i would love a G60 in my sportline! blondie 0
I have far too many things that tickles my fancy! Im just confused by it all. I want everyone of them. Im liking the sound of a new one from Germany. Poss slightly expensive to import tho.....? next bit is the fuel pump and air box then fingers crossed the engine is running. I got my eye on a sexy lil number for the lights and then I can put the front end back 2gether. Still in process of refurbing the bumpers, gota put rubber on the alloys and lower her. Then the engine comes in2 play. So I reckon I got a gud 2 months b4 that'l even come along.

Mr_GTI 0
My mate has a g40 in his mk1, currently making just over 150bhp, dont forget that a g40 engine should bolt straight in as it uses the same small block mounts as your engine, a g60 or KR, 1.8t etc would all need the drivers side engine mount cutting off, turning upside down moving and welding back on. Considering the weight of the car 150bhp does the job!
