GVK 1
Did you get it working, I bought a cheap ass cable from them and just spent most of the night getting it working!I got this mail from the guy which I followed, got the drivers from the site he suggested and installed when prompted when the USB cable is connected, then used the usb 'com' setting and checked the 'force dumb mode' box.. using vag-com version 409.1Good luck!"Make sure the unit is connected to the car and ignition key on.You can get the USB instructions and download files using the following link:www.stores.ebay.com/alpha-bid <<<<<< WHERE??? *Click on 'Manuals & Downloads. As an alternative some find this driver works as well: <<<<< I used these.http://www.ftdichip.com/FTDrivers.htmMost of the time it is just a matter of getting the 'TEST' to show 'OK' by setting the COM Port in the device manager to 1,2,3 or 4. Be sure to load the driver from our store page here:http://stores.ebay.com/alpha-bid/Manuals-and-Downloads.html. <<<< WHERE???? Then perform the 'TEST' in the Vag-Com Software trying Com Port 1 to 4, until the test says 'OK'. Be certain that the cable is plugged into the car with the ignition on. You can also make sure that the cable is occupying COM port 1, 2, 3 or 4 by changing the setting in Windows Device Manager. We can always accept a return for replacement a refund in full. Let me know what I can do.Thank you for considering Alpha-bid. We value your business.Cheers,Richardsales@alpha-bid.com
