Bigjobbo 0
you need a piston winding tool really, but if your strong as fcuk, you can sometimes get them in with a pair of long nose pliers and a bit of elbow grease. It's a bit yeehaw though!!If your car is modified and you want to stop quicker, uprate the lot, otherwise just stick with the standard set up. Search the previous threads too. nickvr 0
why are they screw in pistons? tryed winding an they didnt seem to move it!? mk3 vr btw
Petesvw 0
You can use large water pump pliers on the fronts with no risk of damage! But yes the rears need to be turned back! It's not uncommon for 'em to be siezed mate, this may be why they wouldn't wind!
nickvr 0
no they did turn but pretty sure they didnt wind in!? how fine is the thread? how many turns till there fully in?cheers
mk3anni 0
Fronts need pushing in, I usually just use a G clamp. The rears you need to wind in using the wind back tool, about £15 from GSF. Its quite a few turns i THINK, i remember it took a little while even with an impact gun.I run stock disks all round with pagid fast road pads. Stops rather well!!!
