Philipstormy 0
Hi i have a 93 K plate Vr6 Golf with a funny problem the fuel tank only seems to take about 40 litres at a time i have even run out of fuel before thinking it must be a guage problem but it's not, i ran out and still only just managed to get 40 liters in i thought it was 55 litre tank??? or am i wrong???Help please!!! Bigjobbo 0
i run mine down to just above the red, and it costs me 33 quid to fill up, and i get about 240 mls per tank. I think it is a 55 litre tank so this may be down to a blocked breather pipe, but if the gauge reads full????? i would like some info on this also.thank you

Jk* 0
I hate the fuel tank on the VR6. The lowest mine has been is just bordering on the red, i managed to fit £36 of super into it. But it just disappears so quickly! I spend half my life @ the petrol station. I wish it could hold more!
vr6madmike 0
Yep same with mine!
Seademon 0
Mine takes over £40 of fuel Im sure!
Luke 0
Its not the fact of how much you can get in, its the bloody amount they drink, the fuel tank would be sufficant for eny normal car like somethink crappy, kia pride perhaps or maybe even a proton, you catch my drift yea
thegoth 5
The 'book' says 10gallons, or 45litres for you euro speakers.TG
Bigjobbo 0
the book also says the red bit is 7.5 litres in total, so with a capacity of 45 litres, 35 notes would make sense i suppose.

rodney 17
Sat on the motorway I easily get 300miles per tank. (Parents in NE & sat at motorway speeds). Around town I still get around the 300 and yup I pay London prices so see £40 in a tank regularly!

Bigjobbo 0
In traffic the com reads 12-13 mpg, and i spend a lot of time in traffic so thats what i put my 220-240 down to. Sometimes i do more miles to get home (the long way round) just to get higher mpg. It kind of makes sense!!
