P262YUD 0
A month or so ago, my golf had a full service which included new coil pack, leads and plugs all round. The car also had a new air filter and the idle control valve was cleaned too.The car was running fine until we had all that rain recently and i was forced to go through a small flood!!!..at low speed.Since then the car has a low down splutter, or flat spot at around 1,200 rpm which wont clear!! any ideas? matth76 1
Could be that there is some water trapped some where ...does it get slightly better when the car has warmed up
Russ_vr6 12
id say some water has got in somewhere the problem with water is it can get into the sillyest of places, one thing to look out for is elec pulgs, coz we had a corrado vr in work few months ago that had gone through a flood and a few weeks after it was running like a bag of crap, turns out water had got into the wiring plug on the right hand side of the block and we had to replace that plug and half the loom ! P262YUD 0
Hi thanks for your reply- the problem doesn't clear when it's warmed up and yesterday I had a look to see if any of the leads were loose and got an electric shock from the coil pack area while the car was running! I checked for splits and things but all seems fine...
