SiGainey 1 Posted December 28, 2006 Report Share Posted December 28, 2006 Hi, Done a search but couldn't find owt relevant My rear lights are all over the place - "random xmas tree" effect according to a mate and I've got various issues with electrical equipment (inc really poor lights) so want to clean the stock grounds up - does anyone know where they are? spindat45 0 Posted December 29, 2006 Report Share Posted December 29, 2006 Have you checked the actual plugs that connect to the light clusters? I know that on Fix Or Repair Dailies (Fords) these would often get corroded and cause the exact same xmas tree effect you have mentioned. You can get rid of any green corrosion or rust on the connectors with some fairly coarse sandpaper, wd40 or electrical cleaner until clean/shiney metal can be seen. Do the samer on the plug end with a thin screwdriver or file and give it a try. As mentioned above all main earthing pionts are under the bonnet so just follow the various earths from the battery and look for any loose or broken wires near to the bodywork.Kevin Link to post Share on other sites
SiGainey 1 Posted January 3, 2007 Author Report Share Posted January 3, 2007 Thanks for all your help - turns out that the RH cluster had a bad earth - all fixed now Just got to sort out the ABS light now - pulled the cluster bit from the dash and it wasn't plugged in and couldn't see the plug either!!!!
