matth76 1
HiGoing to need to replace a couple of tyres soon and thinking about a change in tyre. I have done a search and found a few reviews about the Toyo Proxes TR-1 but the reviews seem to focus mainly on the older T1-S, which are mainly mediocre reviews. However has anyone tried the later T1-R's and can let me know how they compare to the likes of Goodyear F1's etc? Do they last longer.. is the grip very good etc? I used to have the F1's but they only lasted 5 mins and the grip was great at the start but very poor in damp conditions when they were two thirds worn. Plus the F1's are no longer made in 205/50/15 size.Need something that will last a bit longer than the F1's and have very good grip in the wet or dry. I also want a tyre that has a V/directional pattern ideally.I have heard bad things about the Michelin Pilot Sports where people encounter lots of wheelspin. Another option is the BF Goodrich G-force Profiler (which is made by Michelin - not sure why it is called BF Goodrich though). But virtually no reports about this tyre when I do a search. Cheers for any help and information.Thanks.

richievr 1
i have proxes t1-r at the mo on mine - they are great in the dry but not as good as i'd hoped in the wet!!!they are not rubbish in the wet, but i don't think they are as good as the uniroyal rainsport i had before.. (which were good in the dry and in the wet!!)
IbiVR 0
Not used that one, but i run the T1-S on the mk1.I like them but they wear quickly. Admitedly i only ever drive it for fun, but i'll be lucky to get 4k out of a set.Tom.

Russ, what type of BF Goodrich's did you have on your old clio, were they the G-Force Profiler as in this link:http://www.bfgoodrich.co.uk/bfguk/front/affich.jsp?codeRubrique=4&codePage=BFG_PAG_PRODUCT1〈=EN
