Very nice.

As I said before, I had a black Sportline for a couple of years before I had the Highline (which is also now sold).

Been looking for a MK3.5 Colour Concept Cabriolet in black for the last few months, but having no joy yet. Only seen a couple and both had dodgy history.

What this actual sportline? love to have any info you can give me on it if this was your old car, far as i can tell its a very original motor, think its had a drop of paint at some point but then what hasnt by the time its 14 ???? i have every mot for it and quite a bit of history but no service book! not too fussed as it is very very good mechanically and body wise, always good to have info from a previous owner though ;)

Thats great info mate, that ties in with all the reciepts that go down to Waltham Abbey for a Mr C Chevon, he spent a fortune on a new hood and servicing etc etc, some of the bils are for £700 a time!!!! as for the police doing an identity check on it the bloke who saw it when you had it must have been a pratt to think his black car had been cloned into a red one!!! still at least its not a wrong-un, it is still a very sound little car, drives very nice now its got new front shocks and top mounts fitted, i shall probably keep it for ages as i didnt pay a lot for it and my 3 1/2 year old daughter says she wants it for when she can drive!!! it will certainly be a classic by then if not now!

drool, when i first bought the vr it was only because i couldn't find a clean enough cabby and the vr was cheaper than any i did see. wouldn't change the vr for one now, but when i see a lovely one like yours nick it makes me a little jealous!

thanks Kat, fortunately i didnt pay anywhere near what its worth! about 1/2 the going rate :) , it needed a couple of front shocks and top mounts, i put the original vw rear lamps back on as someone had changed them, and i have sorted a couple of minor niggles with it too, just silly things though like h/brake adjustment and tidying up someone elses idea of cleaning!, cars totaly standard so i am very happy with it, drives really nice, and the Recaros, leccy hood and windows are cool too, just gotta get some nice weather now! so ican bomb around in it (6)
