VR6Andy 0 Posted January 2, 2007 Report Share Posted January 2, 2007 Got a gumbling noise from the front of the VR most of the time but louder aroun 40/50mph which seems to be getting worse every day, have checked for play in the wheel but nothing of note. However when in a straight line the noise is there but when turning it disapears.Does this sound typical of a shot bearing or not???Should it be quieter when under load/turning.And depending on a right or left bend would this indicate the o/s or n/s bearing being dead??? craggsy 91 Posted January 2, 2007 Report Share Posted January 2, 2007 If you turn left and it goes, its left hand bearing, if you turn right and still noisey it will confirm its left side.
