When I had my 2.9 block put in i didn't need any mods. The corrado block was mated to my original manifold as I had a later type throttle body and coilpack, as I have a leter OBDII car. So I'd image on your OBDI it'll slot straight in.

You wont notice any difference tbh and if your engine is running fine, your waisting your money.

The only reason I had mine bored out to 2.9 was because I had nasty bore ware.

However, if you're going to do it yourself, then I suppose it'll be an interesting project for you but if your paying someone to do it and have to buy a good 2.9 motor, your far better off buying a supercharger to see proper power. Why bother with all that hasstle for all of 10bhp? Plus all the worry if you've bought a good 2.9 engine?
