SiGainey 1
(would use the search but it's AWOL for the mo )Anyone had a remap from ChippedUK? They claim it's bread and butter stuff to them but I'd not heard them mentioned on here... Anyone, or I am going to be the guinea pig?

smash312 0
How well do VR's respond to remaps? Has anyone had a before and after RR done to show the change in the curve?
matth76 1
No point getting a chip/remap if you have a lightly modded OBD2 VR6, i.e one made in mid 1995 onwards.. you'll get no power increase at all. It's only beneficial if you have mods such as cams or above, but this is just to get the fuelling spot on, not for a power increase - any increase will be minimal. Older OBD1 vr's may gain up to 10bhp with a remap though but there would be more of an increase with a throttle body and air filter/exhaust upgrade first before doing the remap. As said above - only one place I would trust to mess with my car's ECU and that is Stealth Racing. It is an important part of the car and very easy to get wrong (I have heard many stories of things going wrong with off the shelf chips and remaps done incorrectly). I would only take my car to some recommended by lots of people on here. A custom remap is far far better than an "off the shelf" chip. Stealth's full custom remap costs the same as a chip.
