Me and my mate are doing it ourselves and wondering if it is an easy job? are there common problems we will encounter? The engine is exactly the same as the one being taken out.thanksJohn. johnyswift 0 Posted January 21, 2007 Author Report Share Posted January 21, 2007 It is a 92 vr6 2.8 12V engine with dizzy, the one im replacing is exactly the same. I was just wondering if the ecu's are locked to each engine? as mine is chipped at the moment so want to keep it. Also if it is generally a difficult job?thanks. Link to post Share on other sites

Depending on if the new enginw has the exh manifold and front pipe still attatched then i cant think of any other difficult parts of the job TBH!! Two hours to remove the old engine and maybe three to fit the new one, its that simple.The ECU will be fine on the new engine Link to post Share on other sites
