Recommended Posts

At last some responses....

Thank you guys, I mean those of you that voted not just looked.

Its real hard to get people to participate in a Poll.

Even when the answers are as easy as YES or No!!!!

So far its had over 30odd views and only 6 votes, poor show guys, come on!!!!!!!

Seems like im not the only one not doin my timing chains tho!

What reg is yours ?? aparently the later VR's had better quality components, i was just wondering what the wear was like after 100k???

As i said before mines done 92K and everything is fine and i don't think that i'll bother changing unless theres a rattle.

ps: i only changed the Tensioners not chains as the chains were fine' date='most late vr's that start to rattle only need the top Tensioner bolt

Thanks for that info mate, mine is a late VR and i have heard the same from various sources, this just clarifies it, i think that if i do get a rattle i'll just wack a new bolt in. i think that the later VR's use kevlar and not the stuff that was used in early VR's. Bonus as far as i'm concerned. :)
