gav_113 0 Posted February 10, 2007 Report Share Posted February 10, 2007 hey all, right today i tried fitting a aux water pump coz mine hasn't got one? the pipes were joined with a socket?? (don't ask) its been this way since i bought the car? the prob i have is firstly water was leaking out of the seal at the bottom of it, and secondly when does it work, has the engine got to get to a certain temperature? because it doesn't work when plugged into the loom? only works when i put a pos and neg to it off the battery..anyone got any ideas?? thegoth 5 Posted February 10, 2007 Report Share Posted February 10, 2007 Hi Gav,It should start as soon as you turn the key and the electrics come on, even before you start the engine. guppers 0 Posted February 12, 2007 Report Share Posted February 12, 2007 wierd. i put a new one on mine about 5 months ago because it leaked and sounded rough. comes on when ignition is switched on and goes off when ignition is switched off except if fans are on, then it goes off when the fans go off. i thought this is what was meant to happen to stop hotspots inside the head when the coolant is hot??? :-| Link to post Share on other sites
