craggsy 91
Unlucky fella just get as good a price from insurance as you can as it does look a write off. Nasty looking crease just under the bumper and above the wheel. Id of twatted the driver!!!

purple highline monster 0
Gutted for you mate and i would definately say that written off! its done the inner boot floor aswell i take it? +o( but with the whip lash claim (go to your GP tommorow and have yourself checked over, few days off work etc ) a bit of compo and insurance it can be replaced
purple highline monster 0
PS you dont want a high level brake light do ya? and at least it was a transit not a deer!
Jk* 0
PS you dont want a high level brake light do ya? and at least it was a transit not a deer! Like said, not a Deer @ least. Plus it wasnt your fault so i should be a nice pay out for you. Id say its a right off for sure. As for whiplash claim only if you have it as its false claims that make insurance go up. On the other hand i reckon millions do it, so what will one more person hurt! (6) If it does get written off, fancy selling the headlights? :$
thegoth 5
Gutted for you mate. Another white van man writes of a VW.Donna had weeks of work and various trips to the chiropractor(?) after a white van caused less damage to her GTi so I expect that you will really feel it in a day or two after that impact. Milk it, the insurance company is only going to screw you over with regard to the car pay out.TG
Jk* 0
I had an accident 5 years ago, didnt seem like much @ the time but im suffering now big time. Neck ache, not being able to sit still, sleeping problems etc...get it checked anyhow mate.

jezmoz 0
Gutted, this is why I have an agreed value after some KNOB did the same to me. They wrote it off as an economic write off. Repairs were more than the car was worth supposedly :S
Dub-Donna 0
Hope your ok? Gutted for you, My Gti was written off in exactly the same way in January, it's taken about 7 weeks for them to sort it out, We really should hunt these white van drivers down!!My new Tdi has now got 2 scratches on the driver and rear passenger doors courtesy of some "Jeremy Kyle watcher" must be an unlucky year for Green Golfs :-(
tubby 0
Thanks for all the kind words guys. I don`t have confirmation yet, but i think it`s as good as a total loss , worse than that i cant look up or when i`m lying down cannot lift up my head and looking left is a total pain and its quite important for mE as i`m a coach driver.I just want my baby back (u) Be reassured that i will not be accepting anything less than what i payed for the car the muppets at norwich union had better get their ass in gear i`m claiming for everything. Jk* 0
Go for it mate, your neck will probably play you up for a while to come and you should be able to claim loss of earnings too.
Earwig 89
It will be a write off for sure.Parts alone will be over £1,000 as I got the quotes for parts when Donna's was hit.We are still fighting over it now as they have sent us a cheque for £1500 even though cars of the same condition go for £2,250-£2,750......So we will keep on going till we get a figure we are happy with, IE- at least 2k.Point is though we have still had to fork out for another car which we would not have done othwerwise, especially as we are buying a house ! And all through something which is not our fualt !And to add petrol to the fire they have told us that we cannot buy the car back and repair it due to some government law that prevents us from doing it. The car has no structural damage at all and is just economicly beyond "Their" means to repair. It "Was" going to be my runaround when the VR is garaged ! Need to look into this bit more.If we find out we can't keep it for real, I think some Pikeys around here might strip it of any goodies ;-)Mark.
