Norrisvr6 0
Hi all just bought another vr6 yday after a year of havin mr2 turbo and it feels good to be back behind wheel of golf. I was wondering where you would get camber adjustable damping and height adjustable coilovers? Anyone know of any because I put fks in my old one and the arches just wore away so want camber adjustment ones in new golf Thanks
binliner 0
The camber is adjustable on the VR6 whatever shocks you have. If you want height and damping adjustable coilovers I'd go for FK Konigsports
Norrisvr6 0
How do you adjust the camber? I had ak's before and didnt realise u could adjust them?
binliner 0
Its adjusted by the 2 bolts at the bottom of the shock that bolt it to the hub
VagSlag 0
hi guys,Can the camber be adjusted on a standard setup? Ive been told it can. Is this done off the 2 bolts holding the stut to the carrier or by the 3 bolts holding the ball joint to the wishbone? is it possible at all.........thanks
purple highline monster 0
yep the 2 big bolts that hold the shock to lower hub arm set the camber angle, lots of garages dont do it they only set tracking, you can do it yourself with a plumb bob off the wing but its a pain it the ar5e to get spot on, ask around a few garages someone will have the right kit to do it properly, if they have a lot of people run 1 degree negative, apparantly it gives better cornering? bit more arch clearance too
VagSlag 0
how much adjustment is there?
purple highline monster 0
quite a bit but dont go mad or it will just knock your tyres out on the insides and rub on the top of the strut on inner part at the top, and it will look like a dolomite sprint! /=\ like this!
