How easy/hard is it to change the rear disks? I've been told its quite diffficult and my local garage want to charge me £100 to do the job.

i would rather do it myself - how long would it take and what tools do i need?

you can get a proper winding tool from halfrauds! you can tap the bearings home with a big socket the same size as the outer race, just dont hit the inner race as it will dislodge and be damaged! apply plenty grease (lm) to the outers before re assembling on the hub! i would be more concerned with using second hand discs more than anything else tbh, especially as they are cheap enuff to buy new! never skimp on brakes!

just had mine done, took the garage 3 hours, after taking them an hour to start it, ended up having to cut all 4 calliper bolts 'cos they seized, then they managed to knacker 1 of the abs rings cos they said they had to sweat them off and back on again, which then cos me another 2 hours and £25 to sort out...and they didn't know it had abs before i took it in

i'm now looking for a new reliable garage,

raer pad carrier allen bolts can be a bitch to undo and the abs rings sometimes lose there shape so they wont grip the inner hub on the disc definetly worth changing bearings at the same time
