AndyVRSexy 0
Hi, I had mine looked at by several garages all with different opinions and costs. In the end a garage called s&s in Northampton where i live on the weedon rd sorted it. A guy that works there is into his vr6's. The first gear has a special coat to strengthen the metal as teh cog is small. This is prone to wear away especially if driven hard in first. Mine had lost 3 teeth and I was very lucky the gera box didnt go. Unlucky to buy a car that was like it though as had only had it a couple of weeks but live and learn. Cost me £850 to get cog replaced, new clutch and recondition the gear box. A lot but not bad compared to other quotes i had. Hope that helps. Andy.
