Air conditioning - button lights but nothing happens!

Hi,

I have a 1997 VR with aircon. Not a highline though.

When I try to turn the aircon on, the button lights but there is no click from the relay and no load goes on the engine as I'd expect from owning other MK3's. Has anyone had this prob or got any ideas as to what it might be?

Have checked the fuse and is OK, fan works on all speeds too.

Any help appreciated!

are u gettin a feed to and from the switch and down to the pump ??

if the system has no gas in it, or the system is too low on gas it will not switch the pump on (safety feature), can go low if there is a leak, and if not used over winter.

My relay control unit was busted so thats why mine didnt "click" or have an effect on the power output...so I'd say its either that or you just outta gas.
