Bullwinkle668 0
I am reading about the process of installing a resistor that makes the air temp sensor read the air temp as lower than it really is. The consequence is the ECU then ups the fuel level slightly to compensate. This supposedly results in a power increase.Anyone heard or tried this?

FishWick 21
It's a bad idea. A hot engine needs less fuel, even more so on a hot summer's day, so lying to the ECU will just give you an over rich mixture that will make the engine run like a pig.
Pittuf 0
I used one on my festa RS1800 and tbh it didn't make much difference, however at the same time my mate did it ti his xr2i and it made a big difference, it really did come alive, just went faster and longer.
