kalv 0
I'm asking because I'm going to be installing my cat back pipe and scorpion centre section to the VR.. so when I fire it up I want it to learn/adjust to the new air flow settings with my BMC?I've read somewhere that the ECU leanrs for the first couple of hundred miles after re-setting? thegoth 5
The book says it'll do it in a handfull of starts. For the first start after having the battery off for the required time you should just start the engine, with no equipment on, and let it warm up until the fans kick in.The learning continues for the next couple of starts/journeys.TG
matth76 1
Hi mate. You shouldn't need to disconnect or reset the ecu. It will adapt to the new settings automatically without having to disconnect the battery. The obd2 ecu is very advanced! It may be a different story with the earlier obd1 ecu..not sure. Which one do you have?
