rodney 17
I'm sure theres a guide in the members section some where... Also I believe the 268 are a little lumpy and generally 248 used for chargers. Pleanty of guys running them on here tho'
6potmkII 0
268 cams are not as bad with chargers as people think. can be slightly on the lumpy side but it will be like that without a charger too it all depends on the mapping, if its mapped correctly then it will be fine.with a charger, obviously lower down in the rev range its a little less torqy than with the standard cams but hit 4500-5000rpm ITS AN ANIMAL!!fitting wise, it is the case of taking 2 out and putting 2 in as u say, IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING. most important thing is keeping the the correct timing. VR6_Absy 0
I've got 268 Dougherty cams and with remap at Stealth got 202.3bhp & 185.7lbs ft (251.8Nm pub chat)Yes they are lumpy, fairly easy to fit and you get an align tool which is crucial.
cadguy77 0
are you buying brand new? as i've a used set for sale (circa 6000 miles) if ya want them. Had them on with my N/A schrick. i ran them without a remap with no probs, but as said a remap will release the full potential.
