Guest bompaholm
Hello, I have a problem with my Golf V6. I can drive it for about 1 km and then the right catalyst becomes superhot and starts to glow. The enigne then starts to work uneven.. What should I do?

ventovr6essex1 0
if the cat is getting red hot you could 1 of a few things . what is ure water level like ?if anti freeze is being burnt ie headgasket the cat will glow read hot . also unburnt fuel will cause the cat to glow red hot . if it has a misfire then pull 1 lead off at a time you should here the engine note change . if 1 or more of the leads make no difference to the note get a old plug earth it and see if u have a spark to them . if all are sparking of could be plugs or an internal engine fault . if 1 or more leads dont have a spark could be coil pack or a lead .
