Heardy 0 Posted April 11, 2007 Report Share Posted April 11, 2007 Hi I've recently bought a 1996 VR6 and the ABs light is on permanantly i've scanned it using vag-com and it comes up with01276 abs hydraulic pump (v64) 16-00 signal outside specificationsIs this usually the pump itself that is at fault?Cheers Jason Link to post Share on other sites

purple highline monster 0 Posted April 12, 2007 Report Share Posted April 12, 2007 go in the engine bay, look just below the header bottle, you will see the pump, there is a connector just the right of it, it has like a little T piece, pull that t piece and it should release the multi plug connector from the pump, have a squiz in side and give it a lube with wd40 replace and then reset the fault, it will probably cure it.. unless? there is a genuine issue with the pump, does your ABS work properly? you havnt mentioned Link to post Share on other sites
