Some Turbo parts came last week. PICS..

Thanx Kev. The intension was to go Woessner all the way actually. But I got this for a ok price' date=' right when I had some left over money.. hehe.

I asume it will hold up, and the Wiseco's looks very nice in real life.

Im still gonna run the C2 42# setup, so 19-20psi should be easy in 2009.

See if the C2 630# setup will arrive in the future.

Wiseco or Wossner, you can't go wrong with either! Wiseco make some very nice pistons.

I went for the Wossner because the guy that designed the VR6 Turbo ones has a VR6 T himself :-)

Porsche use Wossner in the race engines too, so I guess they have a good record, which is good enough for me!

Good luck with yours. I wish I'd fitted H rods when I had the chance because the stock ones aren't balanced that well from the factory, oh well, I'll wait for a stock one to bend first!

Fitted some stuff today. V-band oil catch tank, Fragola AN6 water lines for the GT35R and the new saturday candy package came from USA today

Went to Oslo motorshow a couple of months ago. Just tought you guys should see this......

Would love see a video of that Club Chairman

Thanx. After talking to some VR6 Turbo owners in Sweden and C2 Motorsports, I found out that 9:1 is not the best CR to use when the boost is getting high. With the Wiseco and a stock headspacer I will get 9:1 But a Swedish friend had just mapped a 9:1 VR6 Turbo. And beyond 500whp the exhaust temp was just going up, with no whp increase. 8.5:1 is perfect for a VR6 Turbo. So im gonna fit a 9:1 C2 spacer. Ending up with 8:1

Chris at C2 told me, it would be a "safe" way to go. And im sure it is. R32 brakes are next on the shopping list. Then I have alot off work to do on my head.

New US order has been sent.

Here is what I ordered:

1. Clutchnet x2 red pressure plate, 4 puck solid hub disc and a fourseasion flywheel for 2.8 24V fwd.

2. Tstat housing and a 70C termostat for 24V.

3. Complete engine block gasket set.

4. Glyco complete bearing kit.

5. Timing chain kit

6. Peloquin 02M fwd diff

7. Schimmel Performance head spacer that Bill talked to me so warm about:) So I will get 8.4:1, instead of 9:1

8. Siemens 630cc injectors.

So its just to sit and wait for parts, so the rebuild can begin.

Parts that needs to wait, but are coming in hopefully before the snow goes away:

C2 Motorsport 630cc module. Not sure if its gonna be 1 fuel modul, or 2 modules so I can run E85.

Dutchbuild 02M converted gear mounts.

DSS 02M to mk3 VR6 axels.

Mk4 jubileum 180hk GTI with 02M. The axel hub and all the small parts that follows.

Used Mk4 332mm brakes. IF my wheels fits. I know 17" fits, but not sure if the Mito's fit.

All the crap that I have forgot.

I would agree that 9:1 is a little high for high boost.

What turbo and wastegate did your Swedish friend use?

I've seen a similar situation where more boost = increased EGT with no extra power and it was because the wastegate was too small. Once the target boost pressure had been achieved, the waste exhaust couldn't escape fast enough and backed up into the cylinders, which restricts the intake flow and also hikes EGTs.

Always go with a bigger wastegate than you need, unless you're using a small turbo and want max boost :-)

That might not be your friend's problem, but thought I would mention it just in case!

24V Tstat housing with 70C termostat

24V VR6 Light flywheel

Clutchnet 4 puck, without springs. Its a very good reason why I choose Clutchnet. It can handle ALOT of power, and the price's are good. Its been tested on several VR6 Turbo dragsters in Sweden. I have a Clutchnet pressure plate also, coming in the mail soon.

Here is a pic of the HORRIBLE oil return hose, that came with the Kinetic kit! It was hard as plastic, and broke right off when I twisted it with my hands. Broke off like hard plastic. DANGEROUS to use!!!

Ok, I delivered the block, pistons, rods, bearings and the crank for rebuild. The block is going into a acid bath for 2 days, then painted black. Bore up from 81mm to 82.5mm.

Then but the block togheter with all measurements and torque specs

Your C2Motorsports 8.5:1 headspacer was in the washing macine the last time I saw it. So yes, you can send me the money for it ;) The guys at Motor teknikk had alot off goodies laying around in the shop. After the acid bath the block was like new. Like you took it from the factory. Everything incl oil is gone they told me.

So this months word is: Im broke ;)

Thanx!

Good that you say that Kevin, cause im not sure what route to use in the GT35 water line... Hoses are the easy way, but steel pipes are the best way? Lets see what we try. Not my biggest concern right now. Key word for March month is: Im broke:)

Still waiting on my engine...

But anyways, people like picture's. So here are a few..

I hope NO MORE brake pads are gonna go up in flames.. Because here they did!

Vlerjuni2006-1.jpg

So, to beat the problem, we need to look higher up in the VAG system:)

334mm R32 brakes vs 288mm OBD2 VR6 brakes:
