I got the BMC CDA and had it for about a year now. I would recomend it' date=' only problem is getting the cold air feed sorted cos not much room on the VR for it. Took some time but got there in the end.[/quote']

Did you notice any difference with/without the air feed? and got any pics?

I couldnt quite get mine to the front lower grille (damn air con) well I could but it wasnt positioned well and found it just as good without it but Im now thinking of getting plastic hose the same diameter which should be more flexible... wondered if it was worth the bother?

same question really any good pics of how they ran a cold air duct from sort of need the horn to the filter (I?ve got a 57i). I?ve got a 97 Highline with air con too.

Seen afew comments about removing a carbon canister? Have UK cars got these? What do they do? Are they needed?

And last but not least, any1 know much about the piper viper kit went to a local rude boy shop (made sure no one saw me) and the bloke there said it was good not cheep 260ish I think, he said it was good on his calibra (near laughed when he said the 'C' word), any comments on the viper kit?

Correct me if Im wrong on any of this....

the carbon canister basically filters out some of the emissions from the fuel line and vents the rest back into the air intake. They are on uk cars but aren't actually necessary for uk emissions laws.

I removed mine to make room for a cold air feed. If you look below the headlight just in front of your k&N you'll see the top of it with 2 pipes attached... you basically disconnect the 2 hoses, undo the bracket (you get to it from underneath) then leave one hose open and block the other with something.. .can't remember which is which but I'll post more details if anyone needs them

i never had it with out the air ducting. Firstly i hand it just behind the grill at the bottom now i have made a funnel out of fiber glass and fed that into the ducting. The faster you go the for force on the air into the filter., have noticed a difference in that, also with the sound to.
