VR6Pete 1,455
buy my filter! BMC CDA is the dogs of filters if u want to spend alot! if not then go with a induction cone and build a heat shield to go around it.
Glyn Mk3 0
How much is the BMC CDA Pete?

DundeeDub 0
I got the BMC CDA and had it for about a year now. I would recomend it, only problem is getting the cold air feed sorted cos not much room on the VR for it. Took some time but got there in the end.

Chris355 0
same question really any good pics of how they ran a cold air duct from sort of need the horn to the filter (I?ve got a 57i). I?ve got a 97 Highline with air con too.Seen afew comments about removing a carbon canister? Have UK cars got these? What do they do? Are they needed? And last but not least, any1 know much about the piper viper kit went to a local rude boy shop (made sure no one saw me) and the bloke there said it was good not cheep 260ish I think, he said it was good on his calibra (near laughed when he said the 'C' word), any comments on the viper kit? binliner 0
Correct me if Im wrong on any of this....the carbon canister basically filters out some of the emissions from the fuel line and vents the rest back into the air intake. They are on uk cars but aren't actually necessary for uk emissions laws.I removed mine to make room for a cold air feed. If you look below the headlight just in front of your k&N you'll see the top of it with 2 pipes attached... you basically disconnect the 2 hoses, undo the bracket (you get to it from underneath) then leave one hose open and block the other with something.. .can't remember which is which but I'll post more details if anyone needs them
Chris355 0
cool, cheers for that, i'll have a look tonight, cars in for a sevice at VW dealer today, keep having small heat attacks every time the phone goes. Does anybody want to buy a kidney, think that should just about cover the cost!
DundeeDub 0
I noticed the change right away. better performance and defo sound, am running at 182bhp with the induction being the only performance mod. Very nice to look at and very good value in my view.
binliner 0
sorry I meant the difference in the cda with the air duct fitted as opposed to the cda without the air duct fitted... thats a good increase, I got 192bhp with the bmc and a powerflow exhaust
DundeeDub 0
i never had it with out the air ducting. Firstly i hand it just behind the grill at the bottom now i have made a funnel out of fiber glass and fed that into the ducting. The faster you go the for force on the air into the filter., have noticed a difference in that, also with the sound to.
