it might make 500bhp, but how long will it last at that, thats the Q?

i would say reliablyish 350hp on stock internals. it depends on what route of tuning you take and how much power you want mate, if you want for example 400bhp and a RELIABLE engine, u need to build an engine thats good for say 550bhp.

Stock engine is quite strong. For a turbo i wouldnt run more than 6psi into a totally stock engine, should get you 270ish bhp. Drop compression a notch or 2 with a spacer and you can run about 15-17 psi, that'll give you about 400bhp.

Anymore than that and you need to stick in uprated arp bolts. Use arp main studs and head studs, and use arp rod bolts in the stock rods, and you should be good for 25 ish psi - 550odd bhp, but your are approaching the limit and really as above if your building a 550bhp engine you should really be looking at custom pistons rods.

Go for middle ground, drop cr, arp everything, and run up to 20 psi in it and you'll have a good realiable 400bhp engine.
