With no warning I lost 2 cylinders, fortunately just outside the garage and the mechanic said this was likely to be a coil pack. Another one was ordered and £192 fitted later everything works fine. I read that the Beru coil pack was crap so avoided getting one of those from GSF, but when the replacement arrived from VW it was also marked Beru. I read somehwere that VW bought the Beru factory, so has the quality of the coil packs improved? I couldn't see any alternative manufacturers of a coil pack for the VR6 and needed the car back asap so just went for the one from VW. www.probedistributors.co.uk seem to be a lot cheaper at £95 +vat for a coil pack but I didn't have time to order one up. My old pack wasn't cracked so I guess something internally gave up at 10 years and 69 000 miles. Link to post Share on other sites
