Forgot one! Fieast Zetes-s came same time as last MK1. Was well annoyed when I was given it but it was good fun to drive to be fair. Ragged the nuts of it as it wasn't mine. (is that bad?)

So far, with the exception maybe of oolub, whose RS Turbo was probably quicker than a VR, we are all on our most powerful motor yet with the VR's.

I'm afraid I started of with Fiesta's!

I had a 1.1 mk2 Fiesta when I passed

Then a 1.0 mk3 Fiesta

Part ex'd that for a 1.4 Zetec mk4, which I kept for 5 years, stuck a 1.7 Puma engine in it once I'd had it a few years, did loads to it, inc a re-spray.

Then I got my mk1 Golf Swallowtail, which I later sold back to it's last owner before me.

Sold the mk4 Fez and bought my VR.

Not a lot of cars for ten years of driving!

However my partner has had a mk2 Golf for the last 6 years (now a BAM'd 1.8T, 280BHP) and a mk4 GT TDI for 3 years. So have been into dubs for years.

Not quite, I see a few have had some quick cars. My previous car was an impreza WRX type RA and before that I had a BMW M5 and a few years before that a cossie.

Trouble is I love Golfs too much and always end up coming back to them. The VR is a good balance between power and economy and tends to be built better than most. I've just agreed to buy a supercharger so maybe the economy won't be a plus any more :S
