descb600f 0 Posted May 9, 2007 Report Share Posted May 9, 2007 Help I am not getting any light at all from the ABS light on the dash.ABS is not working too any clues??Tried looking for the fuse, there a pig to get to and the two I found were ok ???Oh yeah I repaired one of the wheel sensor wires do I have to reset before this will make a difference? kalv 0 Posted May 9, 2007 Report Share Posted May 9, 2007 Are yu sure the bulb hasn't been 'tampered' behind the ABS sign?It's normally best to reset it and clear the fault...Get it on VAG.Com or fault code reader.. Link to post Share on other sites

VR6Pete 1,455 Posted May 10, 2007 Report Share Posted May 10, 2007 if you cannot communicate with the ABS ECU via VAG-COM then you have genuine problems.my daignostic cable had become disconnected, which prevented me from communicating with the ECU, but the light was still illuminated.If you have replaced the sensor, just driving it down the road will normally put out the light, but VAG-COM will be able to give you more...you mentioned you repaired a wire, was the light illuminated before you did this?
