I've always used Toyo's in the pats, but found the softer compounds wore fast, I think they have new ones now with better wear.

Goodyear is good too, used them ever since.

You also are a premium member, and I'm sure we have a few discounts set up now with tyre companies.

I've just had 4 BF Goodrich G-Force Profilers fitted. My car used to veer slightly to the left when driving (even with all the tracking / alignment done)... now my car drives in a straight line and the feedback from cornering and general driving has really improved. Really recommend them. They look good too. I have the same wheels as you - the standard multispoke bbs ones (i personally prefer them to the solitudes). Here's a link to the tyres I have: http://www.bfgoodrich.co.uk/bfguk/front/affich.jsp?codeRubrique=4&codePage=BFG_PAG_PRODUCT1〈=EN

By the way 5 out of the 6 main ralley teams apparently use BF's so must be pretty good.

I've tried other makes (including Goodyear F1's) and these BF's are by far the best. For the standard 205/15/50 size they cost me £65 all in including fitting, balancing, vat etc per wheel.

I have looked at the link and it says that they are summer tyres' date=' is this true or can they be used all year round?

Yes they can be used all year round. Most soft compound (sports performance) tyres (Goodyear F1's, Toyo's, BF Goodrich G-Force Profilers etc) will all be described as summer tyres but can be used all year round. Winter tyres are a lot different and only for use in Wintery conditions. "All year" tyres would be average tyres such that you would find on bog standard non-performance cars. They are harder compound and therefore provide much less grip but last longer.

The BF's I have now are the best I have tried yet. Get so much feedback from the road and going round corners is vastly improved. I've tried a lot of the main brands including Goodyear F1's and the BF Goodrich's are ten times better all round and very good price too.

I think I'll go with either the BF's or the Toyo's, which ever is cheapest as both have had good reviews on this thread.

Thanks everyone for all your advise.

I've just fitted a pair of Dunlop Sp Sport 01s to the front of mine.

£130 fully fitted from Blackcircles.com.

Inital view is that they are much better all round than the Bridgestones they replaced. The steering feels much lighter yet more responsive and feedback is very good. Have only had chance to test the grip in the dry yet but it has improved no end.

Just to further confuse you :D

I got a set of 4 Toyo T1-R's fitted in time for my Nurburgring trip end of last month. They're the best tyres I've ever had (previously had Pirelli and Michelin). Low road noise on the boring motorway drive, excellent grip and feedback in both the dry AND the wet round the Nurburgring. I got them from RnR Autodesign 08700 668186 who do mail order, or fitting if you're local (betwen Brighton and Worthing, West Sussex). I found their price to be competitive.
