xyber 1
Ive got my 268 cams on the way and am looking around for inlet manifolds, obviously schrick seems to be the best bet, but the schimmel and eip intakes are tempting me slightly because of the huge price difference.anyone got any experience the the schimmel and eip items? pros and cons with them etc, ive got a feeling what the answers will say but had to ask just because of the price differenceTa all
craggsy 91
I THINK the schinnel and eip ones are for forced induction.........but I wait to be corrected
xyber 1
yeah, well the schimmel anyway, but i have seen on another forum people using them n/a but i dont trust them crazy yanks :-) eip i think is a reworked oe item as they are bought on exchange basis and look very similar
Petesvw 0
Kevhaywire is the man to ask, he's on here and he's a MOD on the rado forum.I have dealt with schimmel in the past and they are a great company to deal with. Can't really vouch for the short runner as yet, but it's defo one i have been looking at with interest!
Bazmcc 0
it's a lot of cash for the inlets. I'm going with a corrado 2.9 mani and a powergasket plus and a custom made heatshield we'll be working on soon. I just can't get my head round to justify the price of the shimmel, EIP and shrick manis.Baz
xyber 1
Looks to be Schimmel is firmly for F/I and the EIP is pointless (even a few US site say not worthwhile)Schrick it is then i think, I hate saving money!!
Wush 1
someone posted that he'd bought some sticky insulating sheet from demon tweeks and covered the backside of his inlet manifold. Said it reduced intake temp and that after a good run he stopped and the top of the mani (normally gets hot) was pretty cool. http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ProductDetail.asp?cls=MSPORT&pcode=NIM14100 - thermo tec cool-it mathttp://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ProductDetail.asp?cls=MSPORT&pcode=DEI010402 - Versa ShieldCheap effective intake mod i plan to use...the manis are too rich for my tite fistedness
